Refund & Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your RIN YORI knife. If something isn't right, you may return an unused knife within 30 days of delivery for a refund, and we cover any item that arrives defective or damaged. This policy explains how, and applies to all orders placed through this website and paid via PayPal.

1.Order cancellations

You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before it has shipped. Email us with your order number and we'll cancel and refund it in full. Once an order has shipped, the return terms below apply.

2.Return window & conditions

You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible, the item must be:

• Unused and unsharpened, with no signs of use, cutting, or wear;
• In its original condition and packaging, including any box, sheath, documentation, and protective materials;
• Accompanied by proof of purchase (your PayPal receipt or order number).

For hygiene and safety reasons, a knife that has been used, washed, sharpened, or altered cannot be returned for a change-of-mind refund unless it is defective (see Section 4). We may refuse a return or apply a reasonable reduction to the refund if an item is returned used, damaged through misuse, or missing parts or packaging.

3.How to start a return

Email benyaegerbusiness@gmail.com (or simply reply to your PayPal order confirmation) with your order number and the reason for the return. Please do not send items back before contacting us — we'll confirm your eligibility and provide the correct return address. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be processed.

4.Defective, damaged, or incorrect items

If your knife arrives defective, damaged in transit, or is not the item you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a few photos of the item and packaging. We will, at your choice and at our cost, send a replacement or issue a full refund including original shipping. You won't pay return shipping for items that are our fault.

5.Return shipping costs

• Change-of-mind returns: you are responsible for return shipping, and we recommend a tracked, insured service — we can't refund items lost on their way back to us.
• Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: we cover return shipping.
• Because items ship from Japan, any return of an international order should be arranged with us first so we can advise the most cost-effective method.

6.Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to your original PayPal payment method within 5–10 business days. The time it takes for the funds to appear depends on PayPal and your bank or card issuer.

For change-of-mind returns, the original outbound shipping cost is non-refundable; we refund the price of the returned item. For defective, damaged, or incorrect items we refund the full amount, including shipping.

7.Late or missing refunds

If you haven't received an approved refund after 10 business days, first check your PayPal account and your bank or card statement, then contact your card issuer, as processing times vary. If you've done this and still have not received your refund, email us and we'll help track it down.

8.Customs, duties & taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by the destination country. These are set by your local authorities, are not collected by us, and are non-refundable. Any such charges are the customer's responsibility.

9.Craftsmanship & care

Each knife is hand-forged, so small variations in finish, pattern, and handle grain are normal characteristics, not defects. Our defect cover applies to genuine faults in materials or workmanship. It does not cover normal wear, rust or staining from improper care, chips or damage from misuse (for example cutting bone, frozen food, or hard materials, prying, or dishwasher use), or damage from failing to follow the care guidance (hand wash, dry immediately, keep dry).

10.Before you file a dispute

If anything is wrong with your order, please contact us first — we're a small maker and will always work with you to make it right, which is usually faster than a payment dispute. This policy is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to your order. The current version is always available at this page.
